RESOLUTION RATIFYING DATE CHANGE FOR
CONSIDERATION OF BIDS AND FOR PUBLIC HEARING
ON THE WINDFIELD &GRANT PARKS IMPROVEMENT
PROJECT
WHEREAS,on December 15,2014 the City Council adopted a Resolution ordering
construction of certain public improvements,and fixing a date for hearing thereon and taking of
bids therefor for the Windfield &Grant Parks Improvement Project (the "Project");
WHEREAS,pursuant to said Resolution,the City Council set February 6,2015 as the
date for receiving bids,and February 16,2015 as the date for the public hearing on the plans,
specifications,form of contract and estimate of costs for the Project and the date for
consideration.of the bids;
WHEREAS,Monday,February 16,2015 is President's Day and the Council will not
meet on that date;
WHEREAS,the Cotmcil will meet on Tuesday,February 17,2015 instead;
WHEREAS,a Notice of Hearing and Letting for the Project was published on January
29,2015,indicating that bids for the Project would be received before 2:00 P.M.on February 6,
2015,and the public hearing and consideration of bids would be held on February 17,2015.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,IOWA;
Section 1.That the public hearing on the plans,specifications,form of contract and
estimate of costs for the Project shall be at 5:30 o'clock P.M.on February 17,2015.
Section 2,That bids shall be received and opened as provided in the public notice and
the results of the bids shall be considered at the meeting of this Council on February 17,2015,at
5:30 o'clock P.M.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 2nd day of February,2015.
