RESOLUTION 15-089
APPROVING DALLAS COUNTY FOUNDATION 2015 GRANT APPLICATION
[WAUKEK POLICE DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHOEITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UICEE,IOP'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Police Department is dedicated to enhancing public safety,
maintaining order and peace,protecting life and property,enforcing laws,and combating crime;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Police Department is also committed to transparency and
accountability in police operations and actions;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Police Department has identified grants awarded by the Dallas County
Foundation as a potential funding source for the purchase of officer-worn body cameras;AND,
WHEREAS,a $6,682.00 grant request shall be made by the Waukee Police Department to the
Dallas County Foundation toward the purchase of body cameras.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council that it hereby
approves the Dallas County Foundation 2015 grant application [Waukee Police Department
equipmentj.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 6"'d f April,
2015.
