RESOLUTION 15-108
APPROVING THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF WALNUT ST.FROM 5 ST.WEST
TO 6 ST.ON EACH TUESDAY FROM JUNK 9,2015 THROUGH JUNE 30,2015
BETWEEN THK HOURS OF 6:00 P.M.AND 9:30 P.M.,AND THK USK OF TRIANGLE
PARK DURING SAME SAID DATES AND TIMES,FOR THK PURPOSE OF WAUKKK
AREA ARTS COUNCIL "TUESDAYS ON THE TRIANGLE"
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CI'1Y OF PAYEE,IONIA
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Arts Council has submitted a Special Event Permit Application
for "Tuesdays on the Triangle,"to be held in the Downtown Triangle Area each Tuesday from
June 9 through June 30,2015;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Area Arts Council has requested that Walnut St.be closed &om 5'"
Street west to 6'Street between the hours of 6:00 p.m.and 9:30 p.m.for the event;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to )364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
20 day of April,2015,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Walnut St.from 5 St.
west to 6'St.on each Tuesday 1rom June 9,2015 through June 30,2015 between the hours o f
6:00 p.m.and 9:30p.m.,and the use of Triangle Park during same said dates and times,for the
purpose of Waukee Area Arts Council "Tuesdays on the Triangle"
