RESOLUTION REJECTING BIDS FOR THE GRAND PRAIRIE
PARKWAY GREENBELT WEIRS k STORM SEWER
EXTENSION
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
STATE OF IOWA:
WHEREAS,on the I"day of May,2015,plans,specifications,form of contract and
estimate of cost were filed with the Clerk for the construction of certain public improvements
described in general as the Grand Prairie Parkway Greenbelt Weirs Sc Storm Sewer Extension;
WHEREAS,on May 4,2015,the Council determined that it was necessary and advisable
to construct certain public improvements described in general as the Grand Prairie Parkway
Greenbelt Weirs 8'c Storm Sewer Extension;
WHEREAS,notice ofhearing on plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate of
cost for the public improvements was published as required by law;
WHEREAS,on May 13,2015,the date fixed as the date for receiving bids,the only bid
submitted exceeded the engineer's estimate of cost;and
bid.
WHEREAS,the Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to reject the
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the bid received for the construction of certain public improvements
described in general as construction of the Grand Prairie Parkway Greenbelt Weirs &Storm
Sewer Extension,be and is hereby rejected.
PASSED AND APPROVED this 18th day of May,2015.
