RESOLUTION 15-428
APPROVING MIDAMKRICAN ENERGY COMPANY PROPOSAL TO CONVERT HPS
STREET LIGHTS TO LED STREET LIGHTS [SE UNIVERSITY AVENUE]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized municipal
organization;AND,
WHEREAS,MidAmerican Energy Company proposes to convert all High Pressure Sodium
(HPS)light fixtures on SE University Avenue to Light Emitting Diode (LED)fixtures;AND,
WHEREAS,the proposal is to convert 45 light fixtures at a total cost to the City of $4,500.00;
AND,
WHEREAS,the City projects an eight-year savings of $17,910.00 as a result of the conversion.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council on this,the 21"day of
December,2015,that the City of Waukee hereby approves a MidAmerican Energy Company
proposal to convert HPS street lights to LED street lights [SE University Av ue].
