RESOLUTION 15-419
RECOGNIZING THE SERVICE OF CASEY L.HARVEY
TO THK CITY OF WAUKEE
IN THE NAMEAND BYTHEAUTHORITYOF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,Casey Harvey has served two terms as a Waukee City Council Member,beginning
January 2008;AND,
WHEREAS,while serving on the City Council,Casey has acted as council liaison to many
boards,including the Park Board,Planning k Zoning Commission,Personnel Committee,Metro
Advisory Committee (MAC),Des Moines Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)
Policy Committee,and Central Iowa Regional Drinking Water Commission (CIRDWC);AND,
WHEREAS,Casey also served as Mayor Pro Tem in 2009;AND;
WHEREAS,he was a frequent member of the City of Waukee delegations to Washington,D.C.,
that successfully sought federal funding for the Grand Prairie Parkway Corridor and 1-80
Interchange,which was opened to traffic December I,2015;AND,
WHEREAS,Casey has willingly and gladly shared his expertise in computers and IT matters
with Waukee City staff,helping to smoothly and efficiently transition the City to new,more
effective technology to better serve the citizens of Waukee;AND,
WHEREAS,his attention to detail and genuine desire to understand all aspects of matters that
have come before the Waukee City Council during his tenure reflect his dedication to the
community and its residents.
NOW THEREFORE be it resolved by the City of Waukee Mayor and City Council in session
this 21"day of December,2015,that it hereby approves the expression of ppreciation to Casey
L.Harvey for his years of service to the citizens of Waukee.
