RESOLUTION 15-407
APPROVING A MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING WITH THK METRO AREA
FIRE INVESTIGATION TASK FORCE (MAFIT)
IN THE NAMEAND BY THEA UTHORITYOF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOIYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,the Metro Area Fire Investigation Task Force (MAFIT)is an organization that
responds when requested for assistance in large-scale incidents where an in-depth fire
investigation is required;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Department recommends approval of a Memorandum of
Understanding with MAFIT in order to participate in the program;AND,
WHEREAS,the City Attorney has reviewed the Memorandum of Understanding and finds it
satisfactory.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
7'day of December,2015,that it hereby approves a Memorandum of Understanding with the
Metro Area Fire Investigation Task Force (MAFIT).
