RESOLUTION 15-348
APPROVING ELIMINATION OF THE POSITION OF SECRETARY/RECORDS
CLERK (WAUKEE POLICE DEPARTMENT)AND APPROVING FORM OF
SEVERANCE AGREEMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF IYA UKEE,ION'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,after assessment of the duties and responsibilities of all positions within the
Waukee Police Department,it is determined that the Secretary/Records Clerk position is no
longer necessary;AND,
WHEREAS,the Police Chief and City Administrator recommend eliminating the Waukee
Police Department Secretary/Records Clerk position;AND,
WHEREAS,the Police Chief and City Administrator also recommend a form of severance
agreement be offered to Shannon Lynch,who currently holds the position of Waukee Police
Department Secretary/Records Clerk,with the understanding that said severance shall be made
available only if Ms.Lynch chooses not to apply for or is not the successful candidate for
another position with the City of Waukee by November 17,2015;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
5"day of October,2015,that it hereby approves eliminating the Waukee Police Department
position of Secretary/Records Clerk and approves a form of severance agreement to be offered to
Shannon Lynch.
