RKSOLIJTION 16-061
AWARDING AND APPROVING CONTRACT FOR SOLID WASTE AND
RKCYCLING SERVICES
IN THE NAME AND BY THEA UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on October 19,2015,the Waukee City Council approved an agreement with Foth
Infrastructure and Environment,LLC,for technical assistance and review in conformance with
current industry standards as they relate to the solicitation of a solid waste collection agreement
with a private entity (Resolution ¹15-358);AND,
WHEREAS,on December 23,2015,solid waste and recycling service proposals were received
by the City of Waukee from four (4)qualified vendors;AND,
WHEREAS,after review of the received proposals,Foth Infrastructure and Environment,LLC,
and Waukee City staff recommend awarding contract for solid waste and recycling services to
Ankeny Sanitation,Inc.,of Ankeny,IA,with said contract commencing on April 1,2016,and
terminating June 30,2021.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
16"day of February,2016,that it hereby awards and approves contract for solid waste and
recycling services to Ankeny Sanitation,inc.
