RESOLUTION 15-327
APPROVING DESIGN AGREEMENT WITH RDG PLANNING AND DESIGN
[RACCOON RIVER VALLEY TRAILHEAD PUBLIC ART INSTALLATION
PROJECT]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UKEE,IO IYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on April 1,2013,the Waukee City Council approved an agreement with RDG
Planning and Design related to the installation of a public art piece at the Raccoon River Valley
Trailhead in Waukee (the "Project")(Resolution ¹13-078);AND,
WHEREAS,on July 22,2013,the Waukee City Council approved Amendment No.1 to said
agreement (Resolution ¹13-194);AND,
WHEREAS,RDG Planning and Design of Des Moines,IA,has submitted a design agreement
related to the Project,which the City Attorney has reviewed and finds satisfactory;AND,
WHEREAS,the design agreement includes refining the design and details of the public art piece
in order to establish accurate construction and installation costs.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Design Agreement with RDG Planning and Design [Raccoon River Valley Trailhead Public Art
Installation Project]is hereby approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,and approved the 21"day of
September,2015.
