RESOLUTION 16-095
APPROVING PURCHASE OF WETLAND CREDITS RELATED TO DOUGLAS
PARKWAY EXTENSION PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOIfzA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,as part of the planning of the Douglas Parkway Extension Project,it was
determined that 0.22 acre of wetland would be disturbed;AND,
WHEREAS,the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers has authorized the City of Waukee to purchase
0.34 acres of emergent wetland credit from the Voas Wetland Mitigation Bank,Dallas County,
Iowa to offset the unavoidable loss of 0.22 acre of existing wetland associated with the
construction of the Douglas Parkway Extension Project.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21"day of March 2016 that it hereby approves the purchase of 0.34 acres of emergent wetland
credit from the Voas Wetland Mitigation Bank related to the Douglas Parkway Extension
Project.
