RESOLUTION 16-111
APPROVAL OF THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SE UNIVERSITY AVENUE FROM
SK WADDKLL WAY EAST TO SE L.A.GRANT PARKWAY BETWEEN THK HOURS
OF 7:30 A.M.AND 9:30 A.M.ON SATURDAY,APRIL 9,2016,FOR THE PURPOSE OF
THK LIVE HEALTHY IOWA 5K EVENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UICEK,108'zt
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS,City staff requests the temporary closing of SE University Avenue from SE
Waddell Way east to SE L.A.Grant Parkway between the hours of 7:30 a.m.and 9:30 a.m.on
Saturday,April 9,2016,for the purpose of the Live Healthy Iowa 5K Event;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to t'l364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be temporarily closed by
resolution.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Waukee City Council in session this 4'"day
of April,2016,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of SE University Avenue from SE
Waddell Way east to SE L.A.Grant Parkway between the hours of 7:30 a.m.and 9:30 a.m.on
Saturday,April 9,2016,for the purpose of the Live Hea y Iowa 5K Event.
