RESOLUTION 16-112
APPROVING TEMPORARY PARKING ALONG THE WEST SIDE OF SE L.A.GRANT
PKWY.BETWEEN WESTOWN PKWY.AND ASHWORTH RD.FROM 6:00 A.M.TO 12:00
P.M.ON SATURDAY,APRIL 16,2016,AT THE REQUEST OF THE WAUKEE POLICE
DEPARTMENT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IO8'A
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Police Department will be conducting police officer candidate testing at
Timberline School,2605 SE L.A.Grant Parkway,on Saturday,April 16,2016;AND,
WHEREAS,there will be multiple jurisdictions working collaboratively together regarding the
testing of peace officer candidates which the Waukee Police Department believes will fill the allocated
parking at the school;AND,
WHEREAS,Vision Soccer Academy will also be conducting games on Saturday,April 16,2016,in
the vicinity of Tiinberline School;AND,
WHEREAS,because of limited parking at Timberline School for both events,the Waukee Police
Department requests that parking be allowed on the west side of SE L.A.Grant Parkway between
Westown Pkwy.and Ashworth Rd.from 6:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m.on Saturday,April 16,2016.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 4'day
of April,2016,that it hereby approves temporary parking along the west side of SE L.A.Grant Pkwy.
between Westown Pkwy.and Ashworth Rd.from 6:00 a.m.to 12:00 p.m.on Saturday,April 16,2016,
at the request of the Waukee Police Department.
