RESOLUTION 16-010
APPROVING THE MAYOR'S APPOINTMENT OF PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS
OF THK DES MOINES AREA METROPOLITAN PLANNING ORGANIZATION (MPO)AND
PRIMARY AND ALTERNATE MEMBERS FOR THE DES MOINES AREA MPO
TRANSPORTATION AND TECHNICAL COMMITTEE FOR THE YEAR 2016
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee must annually appoint or reappoint representatives to the Des Moines
Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO)and the MPO Transportation Technical Committee
(MPO TTC);AND,
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee has two primary representatives and two alternate representatives on
both the MPO and on the MPO TTC;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2016,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Council Member Rick
Peterson and City Administrator Tim Moerman as primary representatives;and Mayor William F.Peard
appoints himself and Development Services Director Bradly M.Deets as alternate representatives to the
MPO;AND,
WHEREAS,for the calendar year 2016,Mayor William F.Peard appoints Development Services
Director Bradly M.Deets and Senior Planner Andy Kass as primary representatives;and Mayor William
F.Peard appoints Public Works Director John Gibson and Assistant Public Works Director Tim Royer as
alternate representatives to the MPO TTC.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 6 'day of
January,2016,that it hereby approves the Mayor's appointments to the Metropolitan Planning
Organization and to the Metropolitan Planning Organization Transportation Technical Committee.
