APPROVAL OF THE TEMPORARY CLOSING OF LOCUST STREET FROM 6
STREET WEST TO 7 STREET ON SATURDAY,NOVEMBER 7,2015,FROM 7:00
A.M.TO 1:00 P.M.FOR THE PURPOSE OF A CONTROLLED BURN BY THE
WAUKKK FIRE DEPARTMENT OF AN UNOCCUPIED RESIDENCE ADDRESSED AS
640 LOCUST STREET,WITH AN ALTERNATE CONTROLLED BURN DATE OF
SATURDAY)NOVEMBER 14,2015
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,the Waukee Fire Department intends to conduct a controlled burn of an unoccupied
residence addressed as 640 Locust Street,Waukee,Iowa,at the request of the property owner;
AND,
WHEREAS,in order to access fire hydrants and protect surrounding property and the general
public,it is necessary to temporarily close certain public streets during the controlled burn of the
property;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Code of Iowa (364.12(2)(a),public ways and grounds may be
temporarily closed by resolution;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
19'"day of October,2015,that it hereby approves the temporary closing of Locust Street from 6'"
Street west to 7'Street on Saturday,November 7,2015,from 7:00 a.m.to 1:00p.m.for the
purpose of a controlled burn by the Waukee Fire Department of an unoccupied residence
addressed as 640 Locust Street,with an alternate controlled burn date of Saturday,November 14,
2015.
