RESOLUTION 16-124
APPROVING SETTING MAY 2,2016,AS THE DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON THE
ANNEXATION OF CONSENTING PROPERTIES BY THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOWA,
WITH CONSIDERATION OF THE ANNEXATION TAKING PLACE IMMEDIATELY
THEREAFTER [COPELAND PROPERTY]
IN THE NAME AND BY THEA UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF 8'A UI EE,IOIYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,City staff has received an application for voluntary annexation of certain properties
as provided for in the Code of Iowa;AND,
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 368.7(1)(d)of the Code of Iowa,the City shall provide for a
public hearing on annexation prior to approval or denial of the application;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,Iowa,in
session this 11th day of April,2016,that it hereby approves setting May 2,2016 as the date for a
Public Hearing on the Annexation identified in the Notice of Public Hearing.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that staff shall cause notice of the public hearing to be
provided in the manner required by Iowa Code Chapter 368 (2016).
