RESOLUTION RATIFYING,CONFIRMING,AND
APPROVING CHANGE IN DATE FOR RECEIPT OF BIDS,
CHANGE IN DATE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON ADOPTION
OF PLANS,SPECIFICATIONS,FORM OF CONTRACT AND
ESTIMATE OF COST FOR THE CONSTRUCTION AND
PUBLICATION OF NOTICE TO BIDDERS AND NOTICE OF
PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE FOX CREEK PARK PHASE
ONE IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
WHEREAS,on March 14,2016 the Council adopted a Resolution ordering construction
of the Fox Creek Park Phase One Improvement Project.
WHEREAS,pursuant to said Resolution,the City Clerk was directed to publish notice to
bidders not less than four clear days nor more than forty-five days prior to March 30,2016,the
date fixed for receiving bids;and
WHEREAS,pursuant to said Resolution,the City Clerk was directed to publish notice of
hearing not less than four clear days nor more than twenty days prior to April 4,2016,the date
fixed as the date for a public hearing on the plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate
of costs for the project;and
WHEREAS,due to a scheduling issue,the date for submission and receipt of bids was
changed to April 6,2016 and the date for the public hearing on the adoption of the plans,
specifications,form of contract and estimate of costs was changed to April 18,2016;
WHEREAS,a Notice to Bidders and Notice of Public Hearing for the Fox Creek Park
Phase One Improvement Project was published on March 24,2016 and March 31,2016
indicating the deadline for submission of bids would be before 2:00 p.m.on April 6,2016 and
the public hearing on the plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate of costs for the
project would be on April 18,2016;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE,IOWA:
Section 1.That the action of the Clerk in changing the date and time for receipt of bids to
before 2:00 P.M.on April 6,2016 is hereby ratified,confirmed,and approved.
Section 2.That the action of the Clerk in changing the time and date for the public
hearing on the plans,specifications,form of contract and estimate of costs for the project to 5:30
P.M,on April 18,2016 is hereby ratified,confirmed,and approved.
Section 3.That the form of the March 24 and 31,2016 Notice of Hearing and Letting
for the Fox Creek Park Phase One Improvements Project,and publication thereof is hereby
ratified,confirmed,and approved.
