RESOLUTION 16-317
APPROVING AN IOWA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION
AGREEMENT FOR A REVITALIZE IOWA'S SOUND ECONOMY PROGRAM
(RISK)PROJECT (IOWA DOT AGREEMENT NO.2017-R-002)
IN THE NAMEAND BY THEAUTHORITYOF THE CITY OF WAUKEE,IOIYA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County;AND,
WHEREAS,on February 16,2016,the City Council of the City of Waukee directed staff
to file a formal application for Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)Program funds
related to SE Esker Ridge Drive improvements (Resolution 416-055);AND,
WHEREAS,the Iowa Department of Transportation awarded funds related to the RISE
grant application at their Commission Meeting on July 12,2016 in the amount of
$1,287,424 or up to 67%of the total RISE-eligible project cost,whichever is less;AND,
WHEREAS,an agreement related to approval of the RISE grant application has been
submitted to the City by the Iowa Department of Transportation and has been reviewed
by the City Attorney;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 1"day of August,2016,that it hereby approves an Iowa Department of
Transportation Agreement for a Revitalize Iowa's Sound Economy (RISE)Project.
