RESOLUTION 16-431
APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR THE RACCOON RIVER TRAILHEAD
PUBLIC ART PROJECT BETWEEN THE CITY OF WAUKEE AND
RDG DAHLQUIST ART STUDIO
IN THE NAME AND BY THE A UTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WA UKEE,IOWA
WHEREAS,the City of Waukee,Dallas County,State of Iowa,is a duly organized Municipal
Organization;AND,
WHEREAS,on April 1,2013,the Waukee City Council approved an agreement with RDG Planning and
Design related to the installation of a public art piece at the Raccoon River Valley Trailhead in Waukee
(the "Project")(Resolution ¹13-078);AND,
WHEREAS,on July 22,2013,the Waukee City Council approved Amendment No.1 to said agreement
(Resolution ¹13-194);AND,
WHEREAS,on September 21,2015,the Waukee City Council approved a Design Agreement with RDG
Planning atid Design for the Project (Resolution ¹15-327);AND,
WHEREAS,RDG Dahlquist Art Studio of Des Moines,IA,has submitted an installation agreement
related to the Project,which the City Attorney has reviewed and finds satisfactory;AND,
WHEREAS,the agreement addresses building materials,fabrication,transportation to the site and
installation of the Project.
NOW THEREFORE BK IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for the Raccoon River Trailhead Public Art Project between the City of Waukee and RDG
Dahlquist Art Studio is hereby approved.
