estimate of cost [Warrior Lane Improvements Phase 1 Project]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The construction of the Warrior Lane Improvements
Phase 1 project includes all materials, labor and equipment necessary for 9,600 CY of excavation,
2,300 CY of modified subbase, 9,800 SY of PCC pavement, 2,700 SY of PCC sidewalk and
recreational trail, 170 LF of water main, 2,800 LF of storm sewer, 32 EA intakes &
manholes/utility accesses, 4,200 LF of subdrain, 86 STA of pavement markings, erosion control,
surface restoration, landscaping, and miscellaneous related work. This project is included in the
proposed FY 2022 Capital Improvements Plan to be considered for approved by City Council in
March 2021 with a total project budget of $5,325,000.00. The project has a completion date of
September 30, 2021.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
WARRIOR LANE IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 1
INTERSECTION OF ASHWORTH DR, WARRIOR LN, AND NORTHVIEW DR
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on January 18, 2021. Due to public health
concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this
meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted electronically as holding the meeting in
person is impossible or impractical. However, the public is encouraged to access the meeting
electronically in the manner specified below.

This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of
the WARRIOR LANE IMPROVEMENTS - PHASE 1
generally described as follows:
PCC pavement – grading and replacement generally including the following items: 9,600
CY of excavation, 2,300 CY of modified subbase, 9,800 SY of PCC pavement, 2,700 SY of
PCC sidewalk and recreational trail, 170 LF of water main, 2,800 LF of storm sewer, 32 EA
intakes & manholes/utility accesses, 4,200 LF of subdrain, 86 STA of pavement markings,
erosion control, surface restoration, landscaping, and miscellaneous related work.
