AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a resolution approving Public Gas Line
Easement for The Commons at Greenway Plat 2 [Signature Development of
Iowa, LLC]
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Approval of these easement is necessary to provide the
necessary gas flow to The Commons at Greenway Plat 2. After getting
approved site plan for the townhome units on The Commons at Greenway Plat
2, the developer decided to install natural gas to this site. This easement will
allow gas mains to be installed to service individual units.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: No cost.

RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2021-
APPROVING PUBLIC GAS MAIN EASEMENT ASSOCIATED WITH THE
COMMONS AT GREENWAY PLAT 2 [SIGNATURE DEVELOPMENT OF IOWA,
LLC]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City Council has previously approved the final plat for The Commons at
Greenway Plat 2 (Resolution #2020-107); AND,
WHEREAS, the developer, Signature Development of Iowa, LLC, after site plan approval for
the townhome project, decided to provide natural gas service to the townhome units within The
Commons at Greenway Plat 2 after the final plat documents had been approved and recorded by
Dallas County Recorder’s office.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
18th day of January 2021, that it hereby approves the public gas main easement associated with
The Commons at Greenway Plat 2 as recorded in Book 2020, Page 34574, of the Dallas County
Recorder’s Office.
