SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Southwest Area Trunk Sewer Extension Phase 2
project will be located south of Ashworth Road and east of U Place.
The project is for the construction of the Southwest Area Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 2
including all labor, materials and equipment necessary for 3,800 linear feet of 8-inch through 24-
inch diameter sanitary sewer in open cut, manholes, excavation and backfill, surface restoration
and miscellaneous associated work, including cleanup.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF
CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTHWEST AREA
TRUNK SEWER EXTENSION – PHASE 2 FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
At 5:30 P.M. on the 1st day of March, 2021, the City Council of said City will hold a
hearing and said Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and
estimate of cost and, at the time, date and place specified above, or at such time, date
and place as then may be fixed, to act upon proposals and enter into a contract for the
construction of the following improvements:

Construct Southwest Area Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 2 including all
labor, materials and equipment necessary for 3,800 linear feet of 8-inch
through 24-inch diameter sanitary sewer in open cut, manholes, excavation
and backfill, surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including
cleanup.
The Southwest Area Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 2 will be located south of
Ashworth Road and east of U Place.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications, proposed form
of contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same now being on file in the
office of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete
description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council
will also receive and consider any objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of
cost and form of contract made by any interested party.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections
21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted
electronically as holding the meeting in person is impossible or impractical. However,
the public is encouraged to access the meeting electronically in the manner specified
below.
