The MidAmerican Phase 1 streetlight proposal was approved by City Council at the October 5, 2020 regular City Council meeting for an estimated cost of $119,818.07. FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: These lights will be installed on steel poles and will be served by underground conductors but will be billed to the City at the wood pole, overhead rate. The estimated cost for installation is $242,438.63 which will be invoiced after completion. Since the estimated cost of construction is over $100,000, the City is required by tariff to pay actual costs upon completion of the work, which could result in an additional charge or refund to the City.
