AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of receipt and file of the purchase of a Ford
F150 Pickup from Stiver’s Ford in the amount of $27,360.00 [Waukee
Development Services Department]
FORMAT: Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff accepted bids on a new truck purchase for the
Development Services Department. Two bids were received from
Stivers Ford Lincoln and Shottenkirk Chevrolet. While the bid received
from Shottenkirk Chevrolet was slightly less ($734), the lead time on the
vehicle was a minimum of 30 weeks versus 17 weeks with Stivers Ford.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $27,360.00
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff is recommending proceeding with Stiver’s Ford
due to the additional lead time at Shottenkirk Chevrolet. This vehicle is
for a new inspector position and is not a replacement vehicle.
RECOMMENDATION: Receive and file the correspondence.
