AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution amending a certain address for Lot
29 of Ashworth Acres Plat 2 within the City of Waukee from 2595 Serenity
Drive to 2625 Serenity Drive
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: A scrivener’s error has been found for the address assigned
to Lot 29 in Ashworth Acres Plat 2. The current address cannot be utilized, as
it is an identical address to a different lot within the same plat. Changing the
address for Lot 29 will correct this error. The lot is currently undeveloped.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The requested change in address still fits within the confines
of the addressing grid and staff does not have any major concerns with the
proposed change. Upon approval of the City Council, the address change
would be recorded with the County and all records including E911 databases
would be updated with the new address.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 21-
APPROVAL OF AMENDING A CERTAIN ADDRESS FOR LOT 29 OF
ASHWORTH ACRES PLAT 2
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized
Municipal Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee approved the final plat for Ashworth Acres Plat 2 on
December 23, 2020, and recorded said final plat with the Dallas County; AND,
WHEREAS, it has been determined that there was a scriveners error related to Lot 29 of
Ashworth Acres Plat 2; AND,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee,
Iowa in session this 3rd day of May 2021, that the local address of 2595 Serenity Drive be
amended to 2625 Serenity Drive. A copy of this resolution shall be filed of record with
the Recorders Office of Dallas County, Iowa.
