Professional Consulting Services with McClure Engineering Company.
[Ashworth Drive Resurfacing from 2nd Street to 10th Street]
FORMAT:Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The work to be performed by the Consultant under this
agreement is for design and construction services for the proposed resurfacing of Ashworth Drive from
2nd Street to 10th Street. The resurfacing of Ashworth Drive is a part of the annual Original Waukee
Overlay program in the approved Capital Improvements Plan with an annual budget of $300,000.
Ashworth Drive from 2nd Street to 10th Street will be broken down into three phases for the work to be
completed over the next three years, with each phase scope aligning with the annual total project
budget. The Consultant will be completing the design services for all three phases (Phase 1: 2nd to 4th
Streets, Phase 2: 4th to 6th Streets and Phase 3: 6th to 10th Streets) and construction services for only the
first phase (2nd to 4th Streets).
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: A sum not to exceed $76,920.00
Design Phase Services $ 43,420.00
Construction Phase Services $ 13,080.00
Other Services $ 8,000.00
$ 76,920.00

APPROVING AGREEMENT FOR PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES WITH
MCCLURE ENGINEERING COMPANY [ASHWORTH DRIVE RESURFACING
FROM 2ND STREET TO 10TH STREET]
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, the City desires to retain the consultant services of McClure Engineering Company
for the Ashworth Drive Resurfacing from 2nd Street to 10th Street Project; AND,
WHEREAS, the scope of services is for design and construction phases for the proposed
resurfacing of Ashworth Drive from 2nd Street to 10th Street. The project design and construction
phases include preliminary and final design of the roadway improvements and construction
administration services.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee that the
Agreement for Professional Consulting Services between McClure Engineering Company and
the City of Waukee, Iowa [Ashworth Drive Resurfacing from 2nd Street to 10th Street] is hereby
approved.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa, and approved the 17th day of May,
2021.
