SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: J&K Contracting, LLC has requested Payment
Estimate No. 1 for the work completed on the Southwest Area Trunk Sewer Extension – Phase 2
in the amount of $90,877.00. Veenstra & Kimm, Inc. has reviewed the payment estimate and
recommends payment.
The partial payment is for the pay period April 15, 2021 to May 5, 2021. Work completed for
this pay estimate is for stored sanitary sewer materials.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS: $90,877.00

PAY ESTIMATE NO. 1
Enclosed are three copies of executed Pay Estimate No. 1 for work on the Southwest Area Trunk
Sewer Extension – Phase 2 project, under the contract between the City of Waukee and J&K
Contracting, LLC dated March 8, 2021. The partial payment estimate is for the period April 15, 2021
to May 5, 2021.
We have checked the estimate and recommend payment to J&K Contracting, LLC in the amount of
$90,877.00.
Please sign all copies of Pay Estimate No. 1 in the space provided and return one signed copy of the
partial payment estimate to our office. Please forward one signed copy of Pay Estimate No. 1 with
payment to J&K Contracting, LLC.
Pay Estimate No. 1 is for stored sanitary sewer materials.
