HomeMy WebLinkAbout2021-06-21-G05 2021 Well Rehabilitation Phase 2_PHAGENDA ITEM: CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION MEETING DATE: June 21, 2021 AGENDA ITEM:Public Hearing on proposed plans, specifications, form of contract and estimate of cost [2021 Well Rehabilitation Phase 2 Project] FORMAT:Public Hearing SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The project consists of the construction of the 2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 including all labor, materials and equipment necessary for excavation, backfill and site work, well work including pump, control valve, pit- less adapter, discharge column and monitoring well; concrete and granular surfacing; reinforced concrete; wood stud building construction; building work including plumbing, heating and ventilation, doors, painting, chemical feed equipment, miscellaneous equipment, piping and piping appurtenances; electrical work including conduit, cables, power wiring, motor controls and housings, starters, fixtures and controls; laboratory casework; water main and sanitary sewer in open cut and directional bored in place; manholes; conduit extension; surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work including cleanup. The 2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 will be located on the east side of 6th Street, between Waukee Avenue and University Avenue. The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans, Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above referenced public improvements at 5:30 P.M. on June 21, 2021. At said hearing, any interested person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The 2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 will be located east of 6th Street, south of Waukee Avenue and north of University Avenue.
