SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The project consists of the construction of the
2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 including all labor, materials and equipment
necessary for excavation, backfill and site work, well work including pump, control valve, pit-
less adapter, discharge column and monitoring well; concrete and granular surfacing; reinforced
concrete; wood stud building construction; building work including plumbing, heating and
ventilation, doors, painting, chemical feed equipment, miscellaneous equipment, piping and
piping appurtenances; electrical work including conduit, cables, power wiring, motor controls
and housings, starters, fixtures and controls; laboratory casework; water main and sanitary sewer
in open cut and directional bored in place; manholes; conduit extension; surface restoration and
miscellaneous associated work including cleanup.
The 2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 will be located on the east side of 6th Street,
between Waukee Avenue and University Avenue.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF CONTRACT
AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE 2021 WELL REHABILITATION PROJECT –
PHASE 2 FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 P.M. on June 21, 2021. At said hearing, any interested
person may appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements. The work to
be done is as follows:

The 2021 Well Rehabilitation Project – Phase 2 will be located east of 6th Street, south of
Waukee Avenue and north of University Avenue.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted with two different options
for public participation: 1) Members of the public wishing to attend in person may do so in the
Council Chambers at Waukee City Hall. 2) Members of the public wishing to participate

In-person meetings are subject to change under certain circumstances, including but not
