SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The project includes all materials, equipment,
transportation and labor necessary to construct a hot mix asphalt (HMA) overlays on Meredith
Drive and Warrior Lane. Project items include culvert removal and replacement, subgrade
preparation and treatment, HMA overlay, pavement markings, milled rumble strips and traffic
control.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED FORM OF
CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE MEREDITH DRIVE/WARRIOR
LANE HMA OVERLAY PROJECT FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA.
A public hearing will be held by the Waukee City Council on the proposed contract documents
(plans, specifications and form of contract) and estimated cost for the Meredith Drive/Warrior
Lane HMA Overlay Project at its meeting at 5:30 p.m. on June 21, 2021, City Hall, Clive, Iowa.
This project includes all materials, equipment, transportation and labor necessary to construct
HMA overlays on Meredith Drive and Warrior Lane. Project items include culvert removal and
replacement, subgrade preparation and treatment, HMA overlay, pavement markings, milled
rumble strips and traffic control. Specific project location along with the kind and approximate
quantity of materials to be used shall be as set forth in the Plans and Specifications.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications, proposed form of
contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same now being on file in the office of
the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete description of the
proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council will also receive and
consider any objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of cost and form of contract
made by any interested party.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b)
and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted electronically as holding
the meeting in person is impossible or impractical. However, the public is encouraged to access
the meeting electronically in the manner specified below.
