appointment of citizen members to the Library Board of Trustees for

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The terms for Miranda Djukic and Connie
Thienes will expire on June 30, 2021.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Mayor Clarke reappoints Djukic and Thienes to the
Board.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2021-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF CITIZEN MEMBERS TO THE
LIBRARY BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR THREE-YEAR TERMS TO END
JUNE 30, 2024
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, each year the mayor must appoint or reappoint citizen members to those boards
which have appointments scheduled to expire or unexpired terms; AND,
WHEREAS, Mayor Courtney Clarke has made the following appointments to the Library Board
of Trustees:
Miranda Djukic reappointment 3-year term ending 06/30/2024
Connie Thienes reappointment 3-year term ending 06/30/2024
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
21st day of June, 2021, that the mayor’s appointments to the Library Board of Trustees are
hereby approved.
