MEETING DATE: July 6, 2021
AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting August 16, 2021, as the date of
public hearing on consideration of an annexation moratorium agreement
between the City of Waukee, Iowa and the City of West Des Moines, Iowa.
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The Cities of Waukee and West Des Moines do not
currently have an annexation moratorium agreement in place. Staff has
worked with the City of West Des Moines on a new agreement which
generally follows R-22 Ute Avenue from Interstate 80 to Booneville Road.
Staff is recommending a public hearing be set for August 16, 2021 to discuss
the proposed moratorium agreement.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommends approval of setting the public hearing date.
RECOMMENDATION: Set the public hearing date.
