CITY COUNCIL MEETING COMMUNICATION
MEETING DATE: March 2, 2020
AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
March 23, 2020, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 169, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by amending
Chapter 169.01, Establishment of Districts; Provisions for Official
Zoning Map, by repealing said section and enacting in lieu thereof the
readoption of the Official Zoning Map.
FORMAT:Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The last official zoning map was adopted by the
City Council in March 2019. There have been several rezoning request
approved since that time.
The Planning & Zoning Commission was to consider this item at their
February 25 meeting. However, due to lack of a quorum, that meeting
was cancelled. As a result, the City Council public hearing must be
rescheduled from March 2 to March 23.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
March 23, 2020, to further discuss an amended Official Zoning Map.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
