AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving easements
[Kettlestone Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project]
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Both a permanent sanitary sewer easement and a
temporary construction easement are necessary for the construction of the proposed Kettlestone
Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project which will be constructed on the west side of Grand Prairie
Parkway through the Oakleaf Properties LLC property.
Oakleaf Properties has provided the necessary easements to allow for the construction and future
maintenance of the sanitary sewer improvement.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The proposed easements are on the City’s standard
easement forms.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2020-
APPROVING EASEMENTS RELATED TO KETTLESTONE SANITARY TRUNK
SEWER PROJECT
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas County;
AND,
WHEREAS, in order to construct the improvements associated with the Kettlestone Sanitary
Trunk Sewer Project (Improvements), easements are necessary across property owned by Oakleaf
Properties, LLC; AND,
WHEREAS, Oakleaf Properties LLC has provided the necessary temporary construction
easement and permanent sanitary sewer easement associated with the Improvements.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this
2nd day of March, 2020, that it hereby approves the easements associated with the Kettlestone
Sanitary Trunk Sewer Project.
