SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: This project includes the furnishing of all labor,
equipment, and materials for the construction of the Traffic Signal System Enhancement project at
the City operated traffic signals.
The project consists of replacement of the existing inductive loop detection at most of the existing
City operated traffic signals with video and radar detection systems for detection flexibility
associated with the upcoming traffic signal performance measures project. The project location is
citywide.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM ENHANCEMENTS
The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans,
Specifications, Form of Contract and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above
referenced public improvements at 5:30 p.m. on May 18, 2020 in the City Hall West Conference
Room, 230 W. Hickman Rd., Waukee, IA 50263. Due to public health concerns related to
COVID-19, this meeting of the City Council will be conducted electronically, pursuant to Iowa
Code Section 21.8, as holding the meeting in person is impossible or impractical. Interested
persons may attend or participate in the meeting by the following method:
