STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Shive Hattery has reviewed the Westown Meadows Park
Improvements Project and find that the work performed is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final amount of the
Contract is $658,873.00.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 2020-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE WAUKEE WESTOWN
MEADOWS PARK IMPROVEMENTS
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of April, 2019, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Ball Team, LLC, of Urbandale, IA, for the
construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Waukee Westown
Meadows Park Improvements; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on May 18, 2020:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, STATE OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $658,873.00, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.

We hereby certify that we have made an on-site review
of the construction of the Westown Meadows Park as
performed by Ball Team, Inc.
As Engineers and Architects for the project, it is our
opinion that the work performed is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specifications and that the
final amount of the Contract is Six Hundred and Fifty-
Eight Thousand, Eight hundred and Seventy-Three
00/100 Dollars ($658,873.00).
