SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The 2020 Downtown Manhole Rehabilitation will be
located within the area roughly bounded by Hickman Road, Warrior Lane, University Avenue and
9th Street, as well as the intersection of Hickman Road and NE Alice’s Road.
The construction includes all labor, materials and equipment necessary for manhole lining,
grouting, rehabilitation, repairs and chimney seals, Portland cement concrete paving replacement,
surface restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including cleaning, testing and cleanup.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, PROPOSED
FORM OF CONTRACT AND ESTIMATE OF COST FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE
2020 DOWNTOWN MANHOLE REHABILITATION FOR THE CITY OF WAUKEE,
IOWA.
At 5:30 P.M. on the 1st day of June, 2020, the City Council of Waukee will, in the West
Conference Room at the City Hall, 230 W. Hickman Road, Waukee, Iowa, hold a
hearing and said Council proposes to adopt plans, specifications, form of contract and
estimate of cost and, at the time, date and place specified above, or at such time, date
and place as then may be fixed, to act upon proposals and enter into a contract for the
construction of the improvements. During said hearing, any interested person may
participate and/or file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code
Sections 21.4(1)(b) and 21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted
electronically as holding the meeting in person is impossible or impractical. However,
the public is encouraged to access the meeting electronically in the manner specified
below.

This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the
construction of the 2020 Downtown Manhole Rehabilitation project, generally described
as follows:
2020 DOWNTOWN MANHOLE REHABILITATION
Construct 2020 Downtown Manhole Rehabilitation including all labor, materials
and equipment necessary for manhole lining, grouting, rehabilitation, repairs
and chimney seals, portland cement concrete pavement replacement, surface
restoration and miscellaneous associated work, including cleaning, testing and
cleanup.
The 2020 Downtown Manhole Rehabilitation will be located within the area roughly
bounded by Hickman Road, Warrior Lane, University Avenue and 9th Street, as well as
the intersection of Hickman Road and NE Alice’s Road.
At said hearing, the City Council will consider the plans, specifications, proposed form of
contract, and estimated total cost for the project, the same now being on file in the office
of the City Clerk, reference to which is made for a more detailed and complete
description of the proposed improvements, and at said time and place the said Council
will also receive and consider any objections to said plans, specifications, estimate of
cost and form of contract made by any interested party.
This notice is given by order of the Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa.
