AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting July 6, 2020 as the date of
public hearing on the annexation of consenting properties by the City of
Waukee, Iowa with consideration of the annexation taking place immediately
thereafter [Waukee Public Safety Property]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City purchased approximately 35 acres of property
located at the corner of T Avenue and the future extension of Douglas
Parkway for purposes of a new Public Safety facility). While a majority of
the property is currently within City limits, a small portion located north of the
future extension of Douglas Parkway is still located in Dallas County. The
annexation includes approximately 4.3 acres.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting a public hearing date for
July 6, 2020 to further discuss the annexation proposal.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
