AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of a motion setting June 22, 2020, as the date
of public hearing on proposals for the purchase and removal of a
structure owned by the City of Waukee [25 Northview Drive]
FORMAT:Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The City purchased the property located at 25
Northview Drive several years ago for the future improvements related to
the five-way intersection. In preparation for those improvements, the
structures on the property must be removed. While the condition of the
house does not allow for it to be moved, the detached garage may be of
interest to someone for relocation. City staff is recommending a public
hearing be set for Monday, June 22, 2020 to consider any bids that are
received for the purchase and relocation of the detached garage.
