SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The NW Douglas Parkway Project, NW 10th Street
to NW 2nd Street, includes all materials, labor and equipment necessary for construction of
approximately: 21,500 CY of Grading, 13,500 SY of Modified Subbase, 11,000 SY of 10" PCC
Pavement, 3,000 SY of PCC Trail/Sidewalk, 1,090 LF of Water Main, 2,500 LF of Storm Sewer,
19 EA Intakes or Manholes, 3,100 LF of Joint Utility Trench, surface restoration and miscellaneous
related work and appurtenances.

NW 10TH STREET TO NW 2ND STREET
WAUKEE, IOWA

The City Council of Waukee, Iowa, will hold a public hearing on the proposed Plans, Specifications,
Form of Contract, and Estimate of Costs for the construction of the above referenced public
improvements at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, December 7, 2020. At said hearing, any interested person may
appear and file objections thereto or to the cost of the improvements.
Due to public health concerns and guidance, in accordance with Iowa Code Sections 21.4(1)(b) and
21.8, this meeting of the Waukee City Council will be conducted electronically as holding the meeting
in person is impossible or impractical. However, the public is encouraged to access the meeting
electronically in the manner specified below.

This project includes the furnishing of all labor, equipment, and materials for the construction of the
NW Douglas Parkway Construction from NW 10th Street to NW 2nd Street in Waukee, generally
described as follows:
Construct the NW Douglas Parkway Construction including all materials, labor and equipment
necessary for installation of approximately: 11,000 CY of Grading, 8,500 SY of Modified
Subbase, 7,000 SY of 10" PCC Pavement, 3,000 SY of PCC Trail/Sidewalk, 140 LF of
Water Main, 1,400 LF of Storm Sewer, 11 EA Intakes or Manholes, 3,100 LF of Joint
Utility Trench, surface restoration and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances.
The project also includes 10,500 CY of Grading, 5,000 SY of Modified Subbase, 4,000 SY
of 10" PCC Pavement, 950 LF of Water Main, 1,100 LF of Storm Sewer, 8 EA Intakes or
Manholes, surface restoration and miscellaneous related work and appurtenances which
will be bid as an alternate to the project.
