AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting January 4, 2021 as the date of
public hearing on the annexation of consenting property by the City of
Waukee, Iowa with consideration of the annexation taking place immediately
thereafter [William Fox Farm Co. Property]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a voluntary petition for annexation of
approximately 80 acres of the William Fox Farm Company located west of
10th Street and north of the future extension of Douglas Parkway. The
Waukee Community School District has recently signed a purchase agreement
for the acquisition of this property for the development of two additional
schools.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend setting the public hearing to discuss
the annexation on January 4, 2021.
RECOMMENDATION: Set the Public Hearing Date
