AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
February 4, 2019, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from A-1 Agricultural District to R-4 Row Dwelling nad
Townhome Dwelling District, C-1 Community and Highway
Commercial District and M-1 Light Industrial District (29367 Highway 6
Property)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 80 acres of property from A-1 Agricultural District to a
combination of townhome, commercial and light industrial zoning
districts. The property is located north of Hickman Road and
approximately ½ mile west of 10th Street. The applicant has provided the
necessary consents from the adjoining property owners in order to begin
the rezoning process.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
February 4, 2019, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
