AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of mayor’s appointment of the Representative
and Alternate to the Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA) Board
for 2019
FORMAT:Mayor’s Appointment and Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The WRA requests that each WRA community
appoint both a representative and alternate to the WRA board. Each
appointee will serve on the Board for the 2019 calendar year. Waukee’s
current population allows for one representative and alternate to be
appointed:
Representative to WRA Board
Alternate to WRA Board

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: The Mayor will announce his appointments during the
Council meeting.

RESOLUTION 19-
APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENT OF REPRESENTATIVE AND
ALTERNATE TO THE WASTEWATER RECLAMATION AUTHORITY (WRA)
BOARD FOR 2019
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Iowa is a duly organized municipality within Dallas
County; AND,
WHEREAS, according to the provisions of the 28E agreement the City of Waukee holds
with the Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA), the City must annually appoint or
reappoint representatives to the WRA Board; AND,
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee has one representative and one alternate on the WRA
Board; AND,
WHEREAS, for the calendar year 2019, Mayor William F. Peard appoints
_________________ as the representative and ____________________ as the alternate
to the WRA Board.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in
session this 7th day of January, 2019, that it hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments to
the Wastewater Reclamation Authority (WRA) Board.
