AGENDA ITEM:Consideration of approval of Change Order No. 2 to Caliber Concrete, LLC,
for the Fox Creek Park Phase 2 Project decreasing the contract in the amount
of -$21,621.00.
FORMAT:Consent Agenda
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Change Order No. 2 to Caliber Concrete in the amount of
-$21,621.00 reflects deducts identified during the Value Management process.
The larger values in Change Order No. 2 include revising the grading plan to
eliminate any export or import of soils. The shade structures were slightly
revised providing additional savings. The amount listed above is the net
dollar value of the adds and deducts. We are anticipating at least one more
significant change order before the end of the project. The current total of
Change Order #1 and #2 is -$68,379 decrease to the original contract.
Representative from Genus and City Staff have reviewed the quantities and
find them to be accurate.

Please find enclosed Change Order No. 2 in the amount of -$21,621.00.
This Change Order reflects deducts identified during the Value
Management process, as well as adds and deducts that have arisen
during the construction process to date. The amount listed above is
the net dollar value of the adds and deducts that comprise Change
Order No. 2. The quantities and changes completed to date have
been reviewed and agreed upon by the contractor and we hereby
recommend that the City of Waukee approve Change Order No. 2.
