AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a Motion to set a Public Hearing Date of
March 18, 2019, as the date of public hearing on an ordinance to amend
Chapter 301, Zoning Ordinance, City of Waukee, Iowa, by rezoning
certain property from A-1 Agricultural District to R-4 Row Dwelling and
PD-1 Planned Development Overlay District (Commons at Greenway
Park)
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received a request for rezoning of
approximately 21.5 acres of property from A-1 Agricultural District to
townhome zoning with a Planned Development Overlay. The property is
located north of Hickman Road and west of Warrior Lane and sits just to
the west of the YMCA. The applicant has provided the necessary
consents from the adjoining property owners in order to begin the
rezoning process.

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend a public hearing date be set for
March 18, 2019, to further discuss the proposed changes.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
