STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Confluence has reviewed the Waukee Dog Park and
Trailhead Project and find that the work performed is in substantial
accordance with the plans and specifications, and that the final amount of the
Contract is $649,647.50.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the resolution.

RESOLUTION 19-
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE WAUKEE TRAILHEAD AND DOG PARK
WHEREAS, on the 16th day of April, 2018, the Mayor and Clerk of the City of Waukee,
Iowa, entered into a construction contract with Concrete Connections, LLC, of Johnston, IA, for
the construction of certain public improvements generally described as the Waukee Trailhead
and Dog Park; and
WHEREAS, the contractor has fully completed the construction of the public
improvements in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and plans and
specifications, as shown by the certificate of the Engineer filed with the Clerk on March 28,
2019:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF WAUKEE, IOWA:
Section 1. That the report of the Engineer be and the same is hereby approved and
adopted, and the public improvements are hereby approved and accepted as having been fully
completed in accordance with the plans, specifications and form of contract and the total final
construction cost thereof is hereby determined to be $649,647.50, as shown in the report of the
Engineer.

As of March 28, 2019, all punch list items have been reviewed and addressed. The work on the dog
park, with a total contract of $649,647.50, has been deemed satisfactorily complete and the project has
been accepted as of March 28, 2019.
