AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a resolution approving construction
drawings for The Landing at Kettlestone
FORMAT: Resolution
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON:
The subject property is located north of SE Prairie Park Lane and south of SE University Avenue.
The public improvements associated with this plat include grading and sanitary sewer, storm sewer,
and water main extensions. Additionally, the applicant will construct extensions of four (4) public
streets. The plat includes 107 lots for single-family residential development.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: At this time a majority of staff comments have been
addressed, however, there are a few remaining items that are outstanding including proof that the
applicant has secured the necessary offsite easements from adjoining property owners for grading
activities.
RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the resolution subject to remaining
staff comments and proof of offsite easements.

THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
RESOLUTION 19-
APPROVING THE CONSTRUCTION DRAWINGS FOR
THE LANDING AT KETTLESTONE
IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA
WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal
Organization; AND,
WHEREAS, construction plans have been submitted to the City for The Landing at Kettlestone;
AND,
WHEREAS, the construction drawings have been reviewed by the City Engineer and City staff,
and are found to be in general conformance with section §303 - Land Subdivision Ordinance of
the Waukee Municipal Code.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Waukee, Iowa on
this 1st day of April, 2019 that the Construction Drawings for The Landing at Kettlestone be
approved, subject to remaining staff comments and proof of offsite easement.
