MEETING DATE: May 6, 2019
AGENDA ITEM: Public Hearing on the annexation of consenting property by the City of
Waukee, Iowa, with consideration of the annexation taking place
immediately thereafter (Ute Avenue/Ashworth Road Properties).
FORMAT: Public Hearing
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: Staff has received voluntary annexation
petitions for two properties that are generally located north of Ashworth Road and east of R -22
(Ute Avenue). The property contains 26.3 acres more or less.
The proposed annexation is considered within an urbanized area as it is within two miles
of the City of West Des Moines.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:

STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend holding the public hearing.
RECOMMENDATION: Hold the public hearing
