AGENDA ITEM: Consideration of approval of a motion setting May 20, 2019 as the date of
public hearing on the vacation of a portion of a Stormwater and Detention
Easement [Waukee Market Place Plat 2]
FORMAT: Motion
SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: As a part of the initial subdivision improvements for
Waukee Market Place Plat 2, a stormwater detention facility was constructed
on a portion of Lot 3. The City Council has previously approved a site plan
for a Tommy’s Car Wash on this property which includes an alteration to the
previously constructed detention facility. Based upon the revised detention
facility, a portion of the existing easement needs to be vacated.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff would recommend approval of setting the public
hearing date for May 20, 2019 to discuss the vacation of the existing
easement.
RECOMMENDATION: Approve the motion.
