Community Entrance and Placename Signage Project]

SYNOPSIS INCLUDING PRO & CON: The project bid letting was held at Waukee City Hall
on Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. Six (6) apparent bids were
received.
FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:
COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT:
STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: In order to have more time to review the submitted
bids, the project engineer has requested that the award of contract be
deferred to the 06/03/2019 regular council meeting.
RECOMMENDATION: Defer awarding contract to the 06/03/2019 regular council meeting

RESOLUTION 19-
RESOLUTION MAKING AWARD OF CONSTRUCTION
CONTRACT FOR THE WAUKEE COMMUNITY ENTRANCE
& PLACENAME SIGNAGE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, STATE
OF IOWA:
Section 1.That the following bid for the construction of certain public improvements
described in general as the Waukee Community Entrance & Placename Signage, described in the
plans and specifications heretofore adopted by this Council on May 20, 2019, be and is hereby
accepted, the same being the lowest responsive, responsible bid received for such work, as
follows:

Section 2.That the Mayor and Clerk are hereby directed to execute the contract with the
contractor for the construction of the public improvements, such contract not to be binding on the
City until approved by this Council.
