FISCAL IMPACT INCLUDING COST/BENEFIT ANALYSIS:Minimal fiscal impact as all pay ranges were included in the FY20 budget COMMISSION/BOARD/COMMITTEE COMMENT: STAFF REVIEW AND COMMENT: Staff recommends approval of the Non-Union, Library, Director and POC Firefighter Compensation Plans. THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA RESOLUTION 19- APPROVAL OF THE COMPENSATION PLANS FOR CITY OF WAUKEE NON- UNION, LIBRARY, DIRECTOR AND POC FIREFIGHTER EMPLOYEES IN THE NAME AND BY THE AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF WAUKEE, IOWA WHEREAS, the City of Waukee, Dallas County, State of Iowa, is a duly organized Municipal Organization; AND, WHEREAS, the City of Waukee code section §110.4 the City shall annually review and approve proposed compensation for City employees whose positions are not represented by the City of Waukee collective bargaining unit; AND, WHEREAS, the City Administrator, Finance Director and Human Resources Director have reviewed and recommend approval of the compensation plans for the City of Waukee Non- Union, Library, Director and POC Firefighter; AND, WHEREAS, the plans, other than POC Firefighter, provide a 2.5% general wage increase over the 2018 compensation plans; AND, WHEREAS, the POC Firefighter plan provide a $1.00 per hour increase over the 2018 compensation plan; AND, WHEREAS, the funding to support these increases has been included in the City’s 2020 budget; AND; WHEREAS, it is the same general wage increase agreed to for positions covered by the City’s union contract; AND, WHEREAS, the proposed compensation plan shall be effective July 1, 2019 and shall remain in effect until such time as a revised compensation plan is presented. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Waukee City Council in session this 3rd day of June, 2019, that the City of Waukee Non-Union, Library, Director and POC Firefighter compensation plans, which is attached hereto as Exhibit A-D, is hereby approved. ____________________________ William F.
